Story

In Bakumatsu, Yoshimura Kanichiro joins the Shinsengumi from Nambu Morioka. In the world of the samurai where honour is valued and death not feared, he strongly wished to survive, and fought for money. Pretext, authority, honour. He did not care for these things. He bluntly lived for those whom he loved. His wife and children in his hometown, friends, comrades; Kanichiro lived for those he cared for. Gradually, even the soldiers who scorned him as a miser begin to realize. This man's justice, is his love as a human. A story of a man who lived astonishingly purely, even in his turbulent fate.
