Story

1900, in a small town in Eastern Austro-Hungary. The maid Stefania, an excellent cook, lost her parents to a fire when she was young, and was adopted by her neighbour. Though maid and master, she develops a close relationship like real sisters with the daughter Adelia, both growing up to become beautiful women. However, as Adelia marries the sculptor Petro, and Stefania is reunited with her old love interest, the priest, their love for each other begins to show a complex twist. The relationship of the in-law sisters slowly tips its balance... An impressive adaptation of Ukraine’s best-selling novel, Felix Austria by Sofia Andrukhovych.

Christina Sivolap

Born in 1991, Rivne Ukraine. She studied Television Production at the Kyiv National Ivan Karpenko Kary University of Theatre, Film and Television. After graduation, she mainly directed television drama series, her short film “Not Today” produced with a million UAH fund from the Ukrainian State Film Agency, was awarded Best Short Film at the Trieste Film Festival. In 2017, she was selected as a member of the Ukrainian Film Academy. “Felix Austria” is her feature debut film.
