After ten-odd years since the end of the Shimabara Rebellion, its leader Amakusa Shirō ominously comes back from the dead. After appearing in the Kishu area, Shirō renounces God who never helped him. To destroy the shogunate that annihilated him, he brings back renowned fighters such as Araki Mataemon, Hōzōin Inshun, and Miyamoto Musashi to life. Sensing a catastrophe, Yagyū Jūbē goes after the men, defeating them one by one in deathly battles. Upon his arrival to Edo Castle for the final battle, Jūbē is confronted by his late father Yagyū Tajima-no-kami Munenori who had also turned into a demonic swordsman. Witness the final and mortal combat between apostate Shirō and Jūbē who defeated his own father.
