“If I have to drink muddy water to survive, I will.” The story of an encounter between the mysterious Prince Shotoku and the ancestor of ninjas
Around 590 A.D., young genius Miko (Prince Shōtoku) survives an assassination attempt by Mononobe Moriya and escapes into the mountains of Koga. There, he meets a feral boy, Sabito (Ootomo no Hosohito), who was living in the wilderness using curious skills. Miko decides to join forces with Sabito; together, they survive the harsh conditions of the mountains utilizing intelligence and ninja skills with enemies constantly at their tail.

Masayoshi Masugi [Film Director]
Masayoshi Masugi was born in Kyoto in 1983. After working as a grip in the Toei Kyoto Studio, he moved on to study computer graphics and later established Cinemasgix Inc. He has directed and produced a number of commercials, music videos, films, drama shows, and documentaries. He is a winner of the 2022 Kyoto Digital Amusement Awards.
