David Fincher [Film Director] Fincher was born in 1962 in Denver, Colorado, USA. He became an apprentice of John Korty at age 18, and later worked in ILM as an animator. In 1986, he launched production company Propaganda Films and worked on commercials and music videos of big-name musicians. In 1992, he made his debut as a feature film director with Alien 3. This was followed by a number of hits including Se7en (1995), Fight Club (1999), and The Social Network (2010). In 2020, he was nominated for Best Director at the Academy Awards for the third time with Mank which is based on a screenplay by his late father.
