A story of female solidarity, dreaming of life free of predestined shackles.

An annual ball known as the “Party of Fools” takes place in a women-only mental institution. Politicians, artists, and socialites gather to enjoy this extravagant and notorious party. Meanwhile, 35-year-old Fanni, who locked herself up voluntarily in this institution, has a single purpose: to find her mother from this gang of “crazy women” and to escape together. As Fanni tries to carry out her plan, she discovers a community of modern-minded women within the institution and slowly nurtures friendship. Taking place in Paris, 1894, this film is based on a true story.
