A story of two teens who get closer while coming face to face with their own individualities.
Nachi Hiyama is your next-door junior high school student who plays softball and wants to get a tan. One day, she learns of a big secret her classmate Kaisei Utsumi holds: Kaisei has a tail. Kaisei, a boy who has a pig-like tail, and Nachi, a girl who knows his secret yet tries to stay by his side. The two, wanting to know each other more, tries to step forward with courage. A curious and warm story based on a manga by Mizu Sahara, an artist popular amongst women in their 20-30s.

Mikiya Sanada [Film Director]
Mikiya Sanada was born in 1974 in Tokyo. After learning acting and directing from theater director Yukio Ninagawa, he was selected for “ndjc” (New Directors in Japanese Cinema) 2006, an Agency for Cultural Affairs venture, where he was trained as a film director. Alongside appearing in many works as an actor, he has directed more than 20 short films so far. He made his debut as a commercial filmmaker in 2023 with “A Tail’s Tale”, a live-action version of a popular manga. In 2024, “Kacho Shima Kousaku no Tsubuyaki”, a vertical short-form live-action series based on landmark salaryman manga “Kacho Shima Kosaku”, was released on various social media platforms.
